The MWE Gold – V2 850W is the next step in the evolution of Cooler Master’s entry-level 80 Plus Gold power supply unit line. The MWE Gold – V2 850W is a fully modular SMPS and is upgraded with an HDB fan. This fan bearing provides quiet and effective cooling with a long lifetime, allowing users to get the most out of their PSU for years to come.

Several additional measures have been implemented on the original MWE Gold to reduce sound output and ripple noise for a truly quiet user experience. While the original MWE Gold had a maximum operating temperature of only 45 degrees Celsius, the MWE Gold – V2 improves upon that by providing an additional 5 degrees Celsius. With this model, users will be able to push their power supply up to 50°C safely. Such a high limit greatly improves what is possible with your PSU and your system in general.

When the system’s power supply can take the heat, overclocking and other high-intensity applications become more accessible. The full modular version of the MWE Gold V2 SMPS comes with a set of flat black cables that can be customized to the individual needs of each user. With a fully modular setup, each system only needs to include the necessary cables for its individual components. The remaining cables can be set aside for future upgrades and maintenance. This unused space within the chassis allows for less clutter and better airflow, improving the overall cooling of your system. Fully modular cables also carry aesthetic benefits by reducing the amount of space required within the case when powering the system.
